Workshop for Social Innovation and Sustainable Transformation in Urban Development

The future.lab supports Austrian cities in their transition towards sustainability. Social innovations are seen as a key element in this process. These innovations encompass changes in lifestyles and practices, as well as new governance and organisational models, all of which are highly relevant to urban development in various ways.

Since March 2022, the Innovationswerkstatt has been funded by the Klima- und Energiefonds. This funding enables the future.lab to expand and enhance its programmes, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and mutual learning with other scientific actors and urban development practitioners. It explores and reflects on new and open approaches to cooperation.

In addition to events, publications, and formats developed within this framework, the future.lab offers urban stakeholders services such as strategy development, process facilitation, knowledge transfer, and quality assurance.
