The future.lab Research Center is delighted to announce the ACRP research project "UrbEnPro," scheduled to take place from October 2023 to June 2026. In collaboration with the Centre for Social Innovation in Vienna, the Energy Institute at Johannes Kepler University Linz, and the future.lab at TU Wien, UrbEnPro is dedicated to analyzing and co-visioning policies and governance for urban energy prosumption models.

The project aims to promote the transformation of the urban energy system and empower key stakeholders, including decision-makers, authorities, planners, experts, and project and real estate developers. Through a thorough analysis of legal and political frameworks and the urban governance landscape, UrbEnPro identifies obstacles and potentials.

Led by the Centre for Social Innovation in Vienna, UrbEnPro adopts an interdisciplinary approach, integrating expertise from law, urban development, and social sciences. Stakeholders from three Austrian cities will be involved in a co-visioning process to explore potential pathways for promoting urban energy prosumption.

For further information, please contact Tess Landon at landon@zsi.at. We warmly invite all interested parties to actively participate in the success of UrbEnPro and collectively pave the way for a sustainable future.
