Lectures for future - 2nd level
“Lectures for Future” is a new interdisciplinary lecture series initiated in the academic year 2019 by the Zentrum für globalen Wandel und Nachhaltigkeit at the Universität für Bodenkultur Wien (BOKU).
The “Lectures for Future” are now offered at ten Austrian universities. Overall coordination for the academic year 2020/2021 lies with TU Wien (https://scientists4future.at/lectures/). Researchers, in their commitment as “Scientists for Future,” provide insights into their scientific work on the climate crisis, the environment, and society.
The further development of this innovative teaching and knowledge-transfer format is now being scientifically accompanied within the project “Lectures for Future 2nd level,” supported by the Center for Technology and Society. The aim is to examine the impact of the “Lectures for Future” on research and teaching, to identify parameters for successful innovation processes, and to elaborate the implications of a reflective concept of sustainability within interdisciplinary collaboration.
