#20 Bestand in der Lehre neu denken

With the previous magazine #19 Transformation of the Existing, we launched a faculty-wide annual theme. What initially began as a thematic focus for an academic year (2023/24) quickly proved to be a fundamental question for our disciplines and thus a focus that will remain.

The future.lab magazine issue #20 takes stock of the situation. After all, dealing with existing resources is not a closed chapter, but has increasingly become the new normal, especially in university teaching. What has emerged since the annual theme was launched? What impetus has been provided? And above all: How is the transformation of existing resources being incorporated into teaching and education?

Numerous discussions have been held, projects implemented, and new teaching formats tested. The focus was not only on content, but also on structures, attitudes, and the question of how dealing with the existing situation can be anchored in teaching as a transdisciplinary field of learning. The articles in this issue show how diverse and engaging the topic has become in everyday teaching and what impulses have emerged from it.

The articles describe methodological developments, formats that understand the collection not only as an object but also as a process, and the need to question existing paradigms. This magazine is both a documentation and an invitation: to continue on the path that has been started, to think further about the collection, and to permanently incorporate transformation into teaching.
