Resonance Study on the Conclusion of the IBA_Wien 2022
IBA_Wien was launched in 2016 with the mission of initiating, supporting, and communicating innovative projects and processes in Vienna's social housing sector in the face of global challenges. The future.lab was commissioned to examine the extent to which and how this has been achieved.
Shortly before the final presentation in 2022, the activities and processes that had taken place were reflected upon from various perspectives as part of the feedback study. To this end, 55 people from active institutions and the professional public were asked how they had experienced IBA_Wien from its beginnings in 2012 through its launch in 2016 to shortly before the final presentation in 2022. The result is seven impulses for Vienna and lessons learned about the instrument.
In addition to this internal perspective, which was developed by Andreas Bernögger and Rudolf Scheuvens (future.lab TU Vienna), Uli Hellweg (former managing director of IBA Hamburg), Brigitte Scholz (head of Cologne's Office for Urban Development), and Klaus Selle (emeritus professor of planning theory and urban development, RWTH Aachen) provided an external perspective.
